Description: On Friday May 4th at 4:00 AM, our wireless certificate for the Lyndon secure1x network will expire and will be replaced with a new one. This may cause connectivity issues for some users.

Services Impacted: Secure1x Wireless Network (Lyndon)

Anticipated User Impact: Users
may be unable to connect to Lyndon until they accept the new certificate
(secure1x.lsc.vsc.edu).

If you are unable to connect to the Lyndon network on Friday, remove the Lyndon
wireless profile and reconnect.

You will be prompted to accept the new certificate “secure1x.lsc.vsc.edu”.

If you experience issues reconnecting, please contact the OIT Help Desk.

IT Services is pleased to announce a new unified messaging and communications
service coming this summer.

Microsoft® Lync® is an enterprise-ready unified communications platform. With Lync, users can keep track of their contacts’ availability; send an IM; start or join an audio, video, or web conference; or make a phone call—all through a consistent, familiar interface. Lync is built to fully integrate with Microsoft Office. The Microsoft Lync 2010 desktop client is available for Windows and for Mac and mobile versions are available for Windows Phone, iPhone/iPad, BlackBerry and Android devices.

Wireless now available in Stonehenge! Wireless now available in Stonehenge!

Lyndon's wireless network is now available in Stonehenge. This marks the completion of the residential wireless project. All residence halls on campus now provide the latest wireless-N technology. More information can be found under Networking > Wireless.
